One architecture. Eleven countries.

Group-wide architecture leadership connecting infrastructure, security, business priorities and a practical path to cloud.

Global enterprise transformation15,000 users · 11 countries

The context

A global enterprise needed a coherent approach to infrastructure and security across its business units, alongside major workplace and application transformation.

My responsibility

As Head of Infrastructure Architecture and Enterprise Architect, I owned group infrastructure and security architecture, built specialist teams and chaired weekly Technology Design Authorities. I worked with business-unit IT directors, suppliers and the CISO, presenting business cases to senior leadership.

The work

Led architecture for a Windows 10 and Office 365 transformation covering 15,000 users across 11 countries. Directed assessment and migration planning for more than 800 server applications, identifying workloads needing transformation before cloud adoption. Designed and deployed a large Dynamics AX environment in Azure.

The wider view

Established technology blueprints and change governance, and developed a five-year network and telecommunications strategy. The application figure describes assessment and planning scope; it is not a claim that every application was migrated.
